We'll be together again

I always seem to start my sporadically spaced posts with "life has been busy", so I opted not to this time. Though I'm sure you can make a guess as to why I have not posted in a while...

So, first the super exciting news! As you all know, my internship at Mary Van Cline studios (a glass studio) turned into a job. This week Mary got a call from the Smithsonian asking her to be part of a permanent exhibition at the museum honoring her life as an artist and her achievments. Consequently, I will get to help her create and install this exhibition, which means that things I have made will be at the Smithsonian. Forever. How cool is that? I mean, she gets the credit, but I'm just excited to be working on a project like this.

Yesterday I also purchased the most important part of my Halloween costume. Anyone ever seen planet unicorn in Youtube? Well, I'm gonna be Shannon riding Feathers. Observe:

Other than that life has held the following bulleted adventures:

Singing "We Didn't Start the Fire" at karaoke last night and dedicating it to San Diego (because someone asked me to) without really thinking about it...

Getting smoked out by a deaf chick named dawn....

Having my brother's 21st birthday and taking him to all the cool gay bars (and saving him from prowling friends)...

Working on my show (which will be awesome)...

And tonight is horror movie night. Life has been good.
