This summer has a lot of promise.

First and foremost, I have a new job. Well, maybe not a job, but a sweet internship. I am working with Mary Van Cline, a local glass artist (and one of the leading ones in her field, at that), and another ceramics student to do a public art instillation at the Tacoma Museum of Glass. I will be getting paid to learn a lot of bronze foundry and glass casting techniques, and come next march our work will be put up outside the museum. I kept the movie store job while I'm doing this, so I'm working a ton this summer.

Next Tuesday Caleb and I are driving down to San Fransico to see Cyndi Lauper, Debbie Harry, Erasure, and the Dresden Dolls do a concert for the HRC, and then are going to stay in the city for a few days and see the sights. My old studio mate Sierra is putting us up in her apartment, and I cannot tell you how excited I am.

In July I'm flying back to Connecticut to visit my mom and see the infamous Providence Town, which I am told is filled to the brim with drag queens, nice hat shops, and art that is "as good as New York's." I am skeptical about that last claim, but I suppose I will be seeing for myself soon enough.

Lastly, I started applying to the Vancouver Film School. If all goes according to plan I will be moving to Vancouver, B.C. at the beginning of May. I am aiming to get into the special effects make-up program where I'll learn things such as prosthetics, animatronics, and a wide variety of make-up techniques.

I just finished jogging and stink....off to shower. Bye.
