Why did he hurt so much? Why wasn't he in his own bed? WAS THIS ANOTHER GAME OVER. "Mmma?"

Pit might find a very relaxed boxer right next to him. "...Hey...Hey you."

Minor pains all over equated to one big bundle of hurt. He was tied to this cot for now, that's for sure. All he wanted to look at was Mac right now.

"But it's fine, kiddo. You're safe now, and you're gonna be fine." Goose didn't want him to be too scared about this, even if he was worried sick. Seeing him awake now, though, was a bright light of hope shining down.

"Why would they... how dare they... I want to..." None of his sentences got finished, mostly because the parts not omitted were so incomprehensible at the time. So unbelievable. His head tilted and he found his neck hurt a small deal, and Claus was over there. A question popped up but he didn't want to ask it right now. He focused back on his visitors and noticed how solemn the crowd was, and, for the first time, tried a glint of a smile for the sole purpose of making them feel better.
"I'm sorry you had to see it. This shouldn't have happened. I was weak." He hated to think about what he looked like that morning, strung up there like a corpse. How embarrassing! How morbid... "But I don't even remember being beat up at all."

"I'm gonna try to find 'em. They aren't gonna like what I'll do to 'em."
Pit of all people wasn't the kind of kid he wanted subjected to the pilot's more-than-foul mood, though. He was in a mood that was even rarer for him than being just plain angry. That wasn't something to focus on right now, though.
He tried to crack a grin. At least Pit was trying to smile.
"But it'll be fine, kid. You ain't weak, I promise."
