She had slept a long time. It was dreamless and without comfort (though it could be argued that the absence of dreams was a comfort), but it was sleep regardless. When she woke she was filled with a horrible sense of disappointment. She was still very tiny, and she was still very much in pain, and that meant that she still couldn't help.

If there was nothing she could do, she didn't want to be awake.

Her stem drooped over her face in a visual cue of her unhappiness, and her flower... Wasn't a flower at all. Vianca stared at the leaf hanging in front of her, slowly processing what it meant. It started to shake, and Vianca tried to reach out to keep it still, not realizing it was because of her own trembling.

Vianca had still been awake at this point. Since she couldn't help out with the others, she had taken to quietly contemplating the situation in general. Try as she might, she couldn't remember much from the night before. She had just been so sleepy for some reason... Sleepy enough not to notice what had obviously taken place. It bothered her. The motives bothered her as well. So far she had been entirely unable to think of a logical reason for this to have happened to her... or really any of the other victims. Perhaps Wendy had been right.

When Miller chose to sit on her bed, Vianca was actually rather surprised. She had already grown used to the visitors bustling through the doors passing by her bed to check on their friends and loved ones, and had already assumed that he must have been there for someone else. Oh.

He received a small humming noise in response. It sounded sing-song, and a little melancholy despite herself, but it was definitely a greeting.

She nodded her head, her leaf bobbing as she did so. This sparked a sudden realization by association.

Where was Ionia? Was she safe? Had something similar happened to her? Was she here in the infirmary just like Vianca was, and Vianca just couldn't tell because her line of sight was significantly limited at the moment? Was she safe?

Vianca let out a panicked squeak, patting Miller's hand with her own. Oh no how was she going to ask him this without a mouth. She tried showing him her leaf (see look at that Miller do you know anyone with a leaf on their head) and pointing at the Infirmary doors.

Leaf? Outside? It wasn't fall anymore, what was she trying to say? Didn't she have a flower in her hair instead of a leaf anyway? Ionia was the one with the leaf, wasn't she?

...Oh!

"I haven't heard anything about Ionia, if that's what you're asking. She hasn't come to visit yet?"

That went much better than Vianca could have hoped it would. She nodded. Yes, Ionia was who she was asking about! She quickly followed with a shake of her head though, as the other pikmin had not been by. But if Miller hadn't heard anything, that probably meant she was alright, right? She was just going to have to hope this was the case.

She sighed, or rather she made a little hum that could have sounded like a sigh, and visibly settled down a bit.

The concerned older sister, cool towards everyone else... Vianca reminded Miller of Amanda in that regard at least, but she was pretty different in every other way. For which he was glad-- he knew first-hand how stubborn Amanda was about not being confined to a bed, no matter what condition she was in.

"You must be tired. Why don't I sing you a lullaby?"

She tilted her head slightly, giving him a questioning glance. Pikmin weren't strangers to lullabies. They and other sweet songs had been so common place in the garden... It had been a while since Vianca had visited. Right now, she was very glad that the only sister at the school with her was the one that had someone else to keep a protective eye over her. Raphael counted in that regard as well, though the protective eye in that case was... questionable at times. But if Petunia had been there...

Vianca nodded after a bit, quietly consenting.

As far as tending to their needs and making sure they were in stable condition, not a single one of the injured students came first in Rhys's mind. But there was a certain dent in his sympathy that seemed to feel a little more strongly for the tiny plant creature nestled on the pillow, looking like a red stain more than an actual patient at first glance ( ... )

It twitched just slightly, reacting to his touch like a shivering limb. Vianca stirred a bit, though it was somewhat hard to tell as most of her was burrowed in sheets at this point. It was an unconscious reaction that was starting to peek through now that moving hurt somewhat less than it did before. A need to be somewhere safe, away from everyone else. The infirmary bed's sheets certainly weren't anything like a plot of earth, but she seemed to be making do without realizing it.

She peeked over the bright white sheet, not quite awake yet as she hummed a soft sound in the priest's direction.

Vianca shivered just a little and shut her eyes. The light touch tickled! She looked back up at Rhys, becoming more fully aware as she churned over what he said. Ah...

She slowly shook her head in disagreement. She did not think she had been very brave or anything of the sort. Certainly not anything that warranted praise. Vianca looked away from him, trying to get a look at those around her to see if they were doing alright.

It was easy to detect Vianca's disagreement, but he knew that if he were in the same position as she, he too would think he hadn't been brave or tried at all either. But he was on the opposite end of that perception, and he knew better. If only there was some way he could communicate to her that yes, she had been, no matter how scared she may have seen and no matter if she fell short on being his assistant that time around, that he could see her sheer intentions come alive the moment she had awoken from her coma. That she had been very steadfast for a beaten, bedridden girl such as she.

"No, I think you were. You had so much will to keep going, just to help me and the rest of the patients, and you weren't about to let that bed tie you down without a fight. Well, unfortunately you were required to, but I'm glad I can count on an assistant like you."

Something was off in the library. There was undoubtedly a distinct lack of bookish red-haired girls. While at first, EVA didn't seem to mind much, it got a little suspicious by the third day. And so she promptly left the library early that day to do a bit of snooping.

By some eveningtimes, EVA had a hunch. And she made a fierce beeline for the infirmary. Her hunch had been correct. She slowly approached the teeny Pikmin's bed.

Much like when Rhys had managed to drop by, the teeny Pikmin was all burrowed up in her sheets. Physically, she was more less pretty okay again. There were still a few spots that were a darker red than the rest of her, and small lined grooves that were reminders that they had once been open, but all of these would fade through the week. Very minor stuff, really. Much had been taken care of under Rhys' care.

She hadn't noticed EVA yet. At this point, Vianca had stopped paying much attention to the comings and goings of people that came through the infirmary doors.
