summer's almost over.
as i wake in the morning for the early shifts, i notice the sun not up as i leave the parking lot as it used to 2 weeks ago (when i last had an early shift). it's a disappointing fact.
august is flying by, making me realise that my sabbatical from the Best Western chaos is almost over. it was 2 months of pure bliss without it. i wish i didn't need the paycheque so much. that place is the scourge of my existence. i loathe just the thought of having to go into the building.
i like some of the people, some of the time...but most of the time, it's a plague on my mind.
looking forward to october is the only thing keeping me going. NYC, again. this city consumes your brain. it's too fab for words.
---this time 5 days, one football game, joe's dairy (mmm..fresh mozza), 30 rock, the colbert report/daily show, st mark's place,real bagel + coffee, cheap knockoffs, little italy and a reservation at Les Halles (i refuse to be intimidated by this place)
i am starting to think i might bring some resumes to hand out-just for funsies.
pondering the idea of maybe doing something for myself.
i have a business idea. seems a bit posh for this craphole, but it might just work. i'll have to bone up on my interpersonal skills, talk up the right people and broaden my horizons with my culinary skills. it seems do-able, and quite (selfishly) satisfying.
earl gray + vanilla + sweetened steamed milk = delightful
