So, recently I made myself a new set of placemats after eyeballing these gorgeous & whimsical fabrics from
modern cloth on Etsy. I had her cut my fabric selection into fat quarters for me because they are the *perfect* size for placemats. All you have to do is fold your fat quarters in half (inside out), sew up the sides, flip them right side out, tuck in the exposed side, and zig-zag stitch all sides together. Voila - Perfectly cute placemats in a super minimal amount of time - I made 6 and it took me about 30 minutes. It's also an economical idea because at craft stores you can usually find bins of fat quarters on clearance!
