oh goodness! i've been updating flickr & making blog entries over at http://emandsprout.blogspot.com and leaving poor little LJ in the dust. here's a recap:
Here's a little relaxation project I did for myself this week. Sometimes you gotta take time out of your day or week to do something nice for yourself - and so I made this for our home :)
Doing this yourself is simple:
I took wool felt, cut out the shape of the kitty, stitched on features and button eyes, then I stitched him to a white felt background, and lastly stitched the whole thing onto the fabric already stretched out inside the embroidery hoop. It was super fun and relaxing and now I'm thinking x-mas gifts this year will be these sorts of things! :D
I got this picture this morning from a sweet em&sprout customer who decided to get a tattoo based off my frankenstein design!! SO CUTE I CAN'T HANDLE IT!!

the color on the tee looks slightly washed out but i ended up going with a nice light blue and coral pink for the hairs...i couldn't find a good aqua/deep pink to mimick my original design - but this color combo is actually SUPER cute in person!

I'm so thrilled and happy with my most recent etsy swap! I made her a pair of shoes and a t-shirt and I got this glorious Where The Wild Things Are monster! It's huge - like 14" tall and inside there's one of those rubber bottle things that you can fill with hot water or ice depending on what you wanna use it for. I don't think I'll get much use out of it other than staring at it foreverrrr but i love it! Her etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/karikatzi

i started a crazy cat lady club on etsy! when i get some spare time i'm going to deck it out in full on crazy cat lady club glory and sell cheap membership packs with official badges and stuff - and maybe crazy cat lady club merch like tees and and stuff!! just something for fun!! :D
this makes me happy :D
Tuxedo Sam 50th Anniv. Tote - tuxedo sam, my #1 man.
Kitty Cardi! I handmade the cat applique, bonded it to the cardigan, and then machine stitched it on for durability.
