*spins and twirls*

It feels good to be home. I still have a shitload of medical appointments ahead of me but, as of right now, everything looks fine. Let's cross our fingers that my blood work comes back with positive news, mkay? ;)

Anyway, I realized that, not even a 5 day stay in the hospital will take music away from me. Aside from introducing my nurses and doctors to a few of my favorite bands, I was discharged on Monday at 12.30pm and was on my way 135 miles away from home to Chula Vista, CA (about 15 minutes south of San Diego) 2 hours later to go to Projekt Revolution.

I gotta explain that quote at some other time. It's a long ass story. ;P

We missed most (if not all) the 2nd stage acts but made it in time to see my friend's cousin's band (he plays guitar/keyboards in Julien-K and in Orgy) They were really good. I wasn't into Orgy that much but I loved Blue Monday when they released it in 1999. They have that industrial/synth sound to them. Not for everyone, didn't even think it would be for me, but I really enjoyed that we caught of their set.

Placebo came on next but neither I or Sarah are fans, so we left and walked around to the booths and ended up running into Amir (Sarah's cousin in the band) and chatted with him for about 20 minutes. He's a cool dude. I liked his hair. :p We missed H.I.M. as well, but I heard that "Wings of a Butterfly" song, so I sung along to what I heard.

Then Taking Back Sunday hit the stage. Dude, Adam is a little Tasmanian Devil on stage. I have never seen so much flailing and prancing and mic-swinging in my life! He's very entertaining and charming, though. And he felt the need to talk in a Southern accent for whatever reason and I wasn't to say, "Hey...aren't you from Jersey, man?" He's a cutie in his tight black levi jeans. ;) He showed my side a lot of love. Everyone was into it.

Then MCR came on stage. Frank was rocking some sort of Farrah Fawcett Charlie's Angels era feathered look. It was...interesting. Gerard (which I always thought was pronounced Jared, I don't know. I'm pretty much retarded) had Mikey's name on his neck. I thought that was a cute gesture. Seeing MCR perform in person made me realize that I'm so not into them as a band. They don't suck. Actually, Gerard is very likeable and has great stage presence, but the music doesn't do it for me. I think Frank was mostly on the floor because I rarely saw him on his 2 feet. Sarah is convinced Gerard is gay. "Look at him, he's just too...pretty! He rocks his hips more that I do!" :p It was funny.

What surprised me the most? I was so into Linkin Park. I never considered myself a fan but I did have a few guilty pleasure songs but I never owned an album. Dude. I sung my ass off to almost every song. The good thing about their set is that they play all the songs you know, so it's easy to sing along. And Chester is such a little character. One of out "pit friends" took her bra off, threw it on stage, it Chester right in the chest with it and, at the end of the show, he picks up the bra, twrils it around his finger while smiling at my section. And we were so into it. He came to the right side of the stage so much. He was literally 6 feet in front of me (was able to get against the rail) and he just rocked it out. He's pretty awesome. I think I'm getting a new crush. *blush*

All in all? A good show. Met nice people, had fun and just chilled.

Next show is Vans Warped Tour at the Home Depot Center on the 25th (I think). Tickets are already purchased. I am determined to meet Nick 13 from Tiger Army. It will happen. Mark my words.

Then Brand New are having 3 shows back-to-back-to-back at the Wiltern in November. I want to go to that too, so hopefully that works out. I don't know when (or if) Black Audio (Davey and Jade from AFI side-project) are touring the record but if they do, I need to go to that as well. I plan on having a very busy, concert going Fall. Plus I'm probably taking my vacation from work in October and I'm so itching to get back to San Francisco. Hope I don't flake out on it.

Speaking of AFI, somehow the copy I had of decemberunderground has vanished from my computer. If you have it, would it be too much trouble to upload it for me? *bats eyelashes*

Anyhow, this is getting long. Gotta catch up on a lot of comments so if you get random comments on an old post of yours, it's probably me. :p
