Holiday
So over Christmas Jon and I went to Indonesia to visit his parents, had a good time for the most part. It was a pretty big culture shock and we never seemed to get into the different time zone even though it was only a difference of 4 hours.
I loved the zoo and cuddling with the orangutan as well as getting pics with a lion cub and a white tiger cub, oh and riding the elephants.
Then on Christmas Eve after dinner at the Sheraton Jon took me for a walk outside and proposed.
So now it's time for the hard decisions. Do we try and have the standard wedding that will put us into debt and delay our home deposit for another year or more...or be a little less conventional and go overseas to Bali or somewhere similar to get married since we got engaged over in Indonesia. That is the cheaper option and also means we can get married sooner.
I guess the downside is that people I want at my wedding probably won't get to come. We then need to decide do we do it alone, invite only our parents or invite say 20 or 30 people and see who can make it?
Sadly I just kinda want it over with...If we go overseas I kind of like the idea of it being just us then we can come back and have a party and stuff after. Oh well, going to go look at a few venues next weekend and then try and make the call.
