Busy little bee
Well, that was an awful lot of fun! purrthecat and wruf are in town for their annual visit, so kaliwohi took ourselves down to Purr's parents' house this evening for supper and visiting. Stew, pie, and Coke with vodka. Lots of laughing and talking, and I taught Purr's sister how to say a couple of vulgar things in French. We all had a marvellous time. :) I'm grateful that we get to see them every year, but I always miss them and wish we could see them more often. Still, once a year is nothing to sneeze at, what with the Atlantic between us. wruf is leaving for California tomorrow, and purrthecat is going to come up to visit me Thursday. Whee!! I get her all to myself for a while.
It's been a rough couple of weeks in the body, and I find that I'm not inclined to write when all I have to say is that I'm working and achy. Not terribly noteworthy, even though that's not all that's going on. *shrug* I got to spend this past Sunday with vlad_the_rus, which was just grand. We had lunch at P.F. Chang's, then went back to his new apartment to wait for folk to show up for his housewarming. It was a small, lovely party, complete with beer, chili, and good cheese.
Monday wasn't any great shakes, but I got to spend the evening with Wruf and Purr, so no complaints there. :) I've got tomorrow evening with troyisburning, then Thursday with Purr. And then Friday, kaliwohi and I are heading down to tzi's for the weekend. We've had to bail on her Hallowe'en party for several years in a row, what with the boy always working on weekends, so we figured we should make it down for this one, now that we're able.
I feel busy, busy, busy, what with work and visiting. I set myself a goal week before last to put up 5 auctions a day, 5 days a week. I've been able to keep up with it, too, except when Comcast wasn't playing nice. I'm really pleased about it. It's a lot of work and it takes a lot of time, but if I can keep it up, Mom and I will be able to pay some of the bills ourselves. That would be way, way cool.
