Hey look! It’s that guy who hasn’t posted in lj for like a month and a half!
Yeah, I don’t know what happened in December, but I just kept saying “I’ll post something tomorrow” and then doing the same thing I’d done the previous day. So to catch the few that visit this up on what I’ve been doing, here is the past 6 weeks in list form:
- I was extremely depressed back at Thanksgiving time, since I have no job. I still don’t, but I do have three companies interested in hiring me, and temp work starting next Tuesday through like a week and a half from next Tuesday. That will pay 20 per hour, which is the first time I’ll be making money in several months!!! The funny part is that all of these companies contacted me via Monster, as opposed to the other way around, so I guess the key to getting a job is to stop looking.
- I’ve been having bi-weekly doctor visits to remove a wart from my left foot (yesterday was my 3rd). I won’t go into the gory details, except to mention that it involves an exacto knife and acid. It doesn’t hurt to have done, but I have to limp around for the couple of days that follow. Today’s lesson: if your wart grows to more than like a quarter inch in diameter, have it looked at before it gets bigger.
- I had a wonderful x-mas with the family. I got a new coat, some DVDs, money, and tickets to see Spamalot when it comes to Boston. About 20 people came to our house for turkey and potatoes. While out walking around the block (because 20 don’t fit very comfortably in our abode) I stuffed snow down my uncle’s shirt, thereby being the snowball fight’s MVP.
- Following x-mas we went up to Maine for cross-country and downhill skiing. My dad hurt his knee days before leaving, so he had to take it easy, but that was great. Before leaving I got a hat with headphones in it, allowing me to ski to music (which was great).
- I'm siked to see that the pats are looking good in the playoffs so far. I'm pretty confident that they'll win on Saturday, and if we play the steeler's after that it will be a home game. It's looking somewhat possible that they'll go to the superbowl yet again.
I guess that’s it for big-ticket items. I would normally talk about various inconveniences or annoyances, like the daylong ordeal spent looking for dress shirts and khakis, but I'm tired. One last note: for those in the Boston area, concerts are coming....
