now i have seen everything

i was at the store looking around for food shopping, and while intently evaluating the contents of the canned chili shelf, two rugged, stereotypical bikers (complete with clicky boots and long beards) exchanged advice regarding the best of them all.

apparently, the one recommended the stagg chili ($1 per box), and the other agreed. the first then pointed out that $1 is a very good price for this product, which we retail at $1.57 a box normally, though he has seen it as low as $0.89.

the second affirmed his love of this boxed chili, and pointed at a brand on a lower shelf, which normally retails for $0.88 and said that he had a relative try to feed him that once. he went on to say "it's crap. it's just crap. it's nothing, you know? it's just not worth anything. it's ...crapola."

so having come to mutual agreement that chili in a box beats chili in a can (either claim obviously merits the scorn of any true chili connoisseur), they walked away, heels clicking with every step, and i continued to examine the set for a minute before deciding that i would try this chili in a box. it has been available for more than a year now, and i had not yet tried it.

and really, what can i say? it is crap. it is nothing. it is just... crapola. heh heh heh...
