Beating a game completely always feels good ...
I beat LoZ: Twilight Princess Sunday. Of course I played for 6 hours straight to do so ... but I came in just under 60 hours of game time. That's long for me. For example, Windwaker was supposed to take around 30 hours to play. It took me just under 24. I usually come up short the first time playing through a Zelda game as far as the promised play time is concerned, and yes when I say complete ... I mean complete. I find everything in the game and complete all the side quests.
So, here's my final thoughts on this game. The BEST Zelda game EVER! It beats A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time hands down, and that's pretty strong for me to say. Those are my two favorite Zelda games. Twilight Princess was great because it felt fresh and new. It reminded me of the original Zelda. Things were expertly hidden, it was fun trying to find all the Poes and all the heart pieces. I just plain had fun with the game. I love the new controls, but even if it had the old controls, I still feel that this game would have a fresh feeling to it. The story was amazing. Plus I love Midna, she was a great addition to the family, and I hope that this isn't the last time we see her or the Twilight Realm. The one thing that I didn't like, was Ilia. I felt that she was slightly randomly added into the story. Why couldn't we have had Malon or Seria?? Either one would have been better than her. >.> Oh well, that was just me. It didn't really spoil the game. ^__^
I'm playing through it again to see how fast I can get through it. :) I swear, no other game will be able to live up to it. Okay, Q4 2008 can't get here fast enough ... we better be seeing some of this new Zelda game later this year. Otherwise I may just have a hissy. :)
