I know I don't post or comment nearly as much as I should, but...
A few days ago, my young Rottweiler, Bronx, died quite suddenly from unknown causes.. and Zoey, my Huskey, is really depressed about it. They were pretty close, and spent a lot of time together... we had another Rott pass on a few years back, and she went through a short depression, but this one seems more severe.
For the first two days afterwords she would look for him, and follow me around poking at me because she could tell I was upset, but didn't know why... but now she seems to have realized that Bronxy is gone.
I've been loving on her and I bought her some new toys, but...it seems a lot of the time she wags her tail more to humor me, you know? She'll wag a few times, bite at the toy, then go back to looking sad. Sometimes she wanders around outside or plays with the Labrador, Luna, but more often than not she's laying somewhere with her head between her paws...
I had a feeling she'd take it pretty hard, but I just don't know how I can help her... should I just not worry and let it pass, or is there something more I can do for her? She already sleeps on my bed with me and gets spoiled rotten during the day...
She'll spend long periods of time just staring out at the woods...like she's looking for him. Luna has been sad, but not as much as my Zoey... any advice?
