Maybe try an adoption agency? They're usually less expensive...although sometimes you can get a "problem child" that was just misunderstood. ;)

my AKC sibe was only $300 so $500 is too expensive.

I just had a bright idea. Since you like Sheps and Huskies so much, why not get a Husky/Shep mix? They're fairly popular crosses, and you get the best of both worlds! (Or you could be like my man and I and have two Sheps and a Husky...eheeheee). We're actually training the Shepherds for schutzhund, and the Husky is just a pet. :)

i found my husky in the pets section of the classifieds and most are pretty reasonable. i got akya for $150 from an owner who had another husky and they werent getting along very well. good luck :)

we got Sula from Pet Orphans via Siberian Husky Rescue in Los Angeles....any Sibe rescue place would be most happy to give a Sibe to a loving home..she's a sweet dog....in our case we gave them a 150 dollar donation..but I'm sure they'd let you have one without all that.
