in the world of racing...
i've realized i suck at this updating my blog thing. quick list of my weekend:
-went to dinner with a couple of guys who are interesting in finding me sponsorship
-went to motorsports ranch in cresson, tx to get some laps in a formula mazda
-car wouldn't start
-had to replace one of the ignition coils, still wouldn't start
-2 fuel pumps and a few hours later the car is running
-i go out for first session with sponsorship guys watching and oh my i have no brakes
-straight off track in turn 4
-got back on to find out there was a hole in one of the brake lines. fantastic.
-fixed that and went out on the skid pad. very helpful.
-pete took next session. went, off, got stuck... ended up with 1:27.4 as best time...
-i took last session of the day and ended with a best of 1:25.0...
-relatively good for running the backwards, more difficult track in a car i was just learning.
-hella fun. superb gearbox. grip grip grip.
-i'm sore.
-oh yeah. and i got to ride for a session in an orange exige :) holy car stuck to ground!
-total car sex at the track. new red gt3, white gt3rs, orange gt3rs, gt2, red turbo, white, caged older 911, 99 black turbo, badass old 240z, white elise, silver turbo, F355, loads of vettes and vipers... etc etc... i need to just go hang at the track every weekend.
-less than 3 days til i'll be at sebring...
