So, I went to a local franchise pet store yesterday, and decided to buy a new fish.  The guy who waited on me was obviously a new hire and didn't know much about fish beyond what he was told when he hired in, I'm sure, but I swear I thought he was going to refuse to sell me a fish.  The fish, an African featherfin catfish, was listed by the company as a semi-aggressive fish...which I've since read mixed reviews on the species...some people say they can be aggressive, others say the are docile bottom dwellers that occasionally get spunky, but don't cause any harm to the other fish.  The employees are required to warn you if you are mixing aggressive and non aggressive fish together, so that you don't sue them or something for the new fish eating your old ones (or vice versa) I guess...but this guy, after asking me 3 times what kind of fish I already had, and then conferring with his manager, still wasn't going to get me the fish.  The manager wasn't too keen on the idea either, but I told them I thought it would be ok, and that I was willing to take the risk...I mean the total value of all the existing fish in the tank was probably less than what I spent on this new guy.

So anyway, here's a picture of the ferocious beast!  (Yes, he's hiding in the skull! LOL)  He's been in that skull since approximately 5 minutes after release last night.

And incase you're wondering what he actually looks like, here's a picture I found on another website.
