I have been watching more of the old XMen cartoon, and have reached the following conclusions:
1. Look, I have accepted (after time and good writing) that "Sinestro" and "Atrocitus" can be names for actual, decent villains even in this modern age. Nothing as of yet can keep me from breaking out into chortles at "Mister Sinister." You've got a decent look and plan going, man, why are you throwing it all away by calling yourself that without irony?
2. WHY DOES STORM HAVE NO OFF BUTTON
3. It is very, very, very, very sad that I am finding Rogue to be one of the better done "Southern" characters on a cartoon. I'm just saying.
4. Like in comicverse Marvel (when I can bring myself to glance at it) I find myself rooting for Magneto. Yes, he is the Big Bad, but he's got a great voice, DAMNED good reasons for thinking like he thinks, and to be honest I kind of want all the mutanthaters to die horribly too.
5. This was worked around pretty well in most of the other cartoons I've watched, but this one has a nasty problem with making sure it's very clear that LOOK NO ONE DIED. Also Wolverine might as well not have claws if all they do is flash at the camera and occasionally make valiant swipes at robots.
6. By this point, I am watching for two reasons other than the plot (and it's a good thing I have reasons other than the plot, let's put it that way): to cheerfully mock the over the top ness of, well, everything, and, well... Look, I'll leave you guys with a link. It's unrelated to the show other than being X Men, but I think it gets my point across.
