It is a truth universally acknowledged that when one part of your life starts going okay, another falls spectacularly to pieces. -Bridget Jones Diary
Isn't it interesting that once you think everything is going great, something just falls apart? It does seem to work out that way... but is it the truth?
Figure out what that "one thing" is, and chances are it's not really all that significant in the grander scheme of things. Regardless, but moan and whine and bitch and complain about stuff not working out.
Well I'm so sorry it had to rain on your parade
welcome to life children
Unfortunately, human nature is in a perpetual state of discontent. Look at body image for example: you're too fat, too skinny, if you have small boobs you get them enlarged until you tip over, and if you have big ones, you want them to go the hell away. More make-up, bigger muscles, more expensive clothes, and any damn thing you want at that particular moment to make you happy.
and then just like the children we all used to be, the joy only lasts for moments...
I want to challenge everyone who reads this to something. The next time you find yourself thinking "I would be happier if..." or "Everything would be perfect if..." think again. Is that "one thing" necessary? Is it really that bad? Sure, go ahead, be frustrated that you can't have perfection. But keep in mind no one else can have it either.
Take the time to see the beauty in the fall leaves
Appreciate (and utilize!) the talents you were blessed with
Acknowledge a kind gesture
Return a smile
Admire the strength in the wind
Listen to the world around you
Drink in the joy of others
and be happy you are alive and able to impact the lives of others
And just because I saw this in a friend's blog...
Be inspired by the little things in life.
