Potters Ranch..."Kill the Queen!"

My car died. It's sad. Wouldn't start, hours wasted...Chris drove all the way from Clifton to come pick me up at my house, which resulted in him getting lost and me hijacking my mom's car and going on a search and rescue mission. Successful, we ventured back into the known and went immediately into the wilds of kentuckydxz♦ (the keyboard fell there) where we traversed back roads and saw turkeys ("Joy, I'm not
F$%^#$% stopping for turkey"), corn, and not much else. We made it to Potters Ranch for Harvest Fest...and I shall have to fill in more later, as it is time for Applebees and Half-price appetizers!

October 20, 2005.

"We made it to Potters Ranch for Harvest Fest..." and proceeded to hay-ride and zip-line to our hearts content. Ok, I hay-rode, Chris zip-lined, and then we hay-rode some more. Frisbee'd (yay), dinner'd (hooray for hobo-pie!), and family'd. Gwen and I acted like little kids and both realized we need to hang out more...I totally grossed out Daniel Reed with my child-like antics (of which I am greatly pleased). Then Chris and I fit Dercyk, Adam, and Becca into the car and we chased down some random CCU kids so we wouldn't get lost. Ah, the joys *wink wink* of careening down Kentucky roads at 70 miles an hour. We Jason Mraz'd it up, pulled a The Village moment as we suddenly emerged from the woods into civilization, and then we high-tailed it on the high-way, passing the car we had previously been following while making some rude gestures in their general direction (all with the love of Christ, of course). Chris pulled out the Queen and we all sang to Bohemian Rhapsody and then another song that gave me a Shawn of the Dead moment and when it ended we were at school.

Ran into Sara, one of my roommates who invited me to Applebees, so we waited for Sarah, my other roommate, to show up with Sarah (who's not my roommate) and then we went. Ate too much food, had too many laughs, ran into Deryck and every other CCU'er known to man, and by the time we got back to school I'm sure a few people thought we were drunk. Went and had girl time in the dorm...had some Vernor's and had a VERY interesting conversation.

Some highlights:

"Ahm nauht deph, Ay-ron"

"Man-taco?"

Then we slept, and woke up at a God-forsaken hour (not that any hour is more forsaken than another) and Sara and I went and choir'd it up for Chapel. Gerson is so much fun to do chapel with, what with him being a crazy sexy Brazilian (I'll post a pic someday) who can play the latin piano...whew! From the choir's perspective the crowd didn't respond that much, but I heard a bunch of people talking about it afterwards.

Then I worked (mom came and got me)...Jack called in sick and thus we were pretty busy. Thank God for Campbell's Soup-at-Hand, as I can sip and work with ease. I highly recommend the Creamy Chicken, yum! Mom came and picked me up...in my car! which is fixed...silly loose wire.

I just have tomorrow to get through before the Renaissance Festival with Sarah. Tiffany is going to let us wear some of her Ren. dresses...apparently I get to wear the more naughty of the two, although I have yet to even see it. And I doubt it's very naughty at all, which is a very good thing. :) And yes, pictures will be taken, and posted (eventually).

on a more...theoretical level, I have been thinking. and have come to a conclusion. if i could just get my heart to agree with my head....
