My Personal Zombie Evolution

Sep 27, 2009 15:55

The 2009 zombie walk is soon approaching, so I thought I would take the opportunity to reflect on zombie walks of years gone by! Every year has been a different process, and a different costume. I feel like my zombie self has evolved, and it's definitely something I look forward to each and every year. :-) When we moved to Spokane I made Bryan promise we'd always be able to go back to Seattle just for the zombie walk. This year will be no exception. So here is my zombie reflection!

2006: University Village

Not too much planning at all went into this costume. I just took clothes I didn't really like, cut them up, rolled around in dirt with Joy, ect. I did the make up myself. I wasn't happy with the make up at the time, but looking back it wasn't too bad.

2007: Fremont

I put a lot more thought into the 2007 zombie walk. My idea was to have someone that looked like they had just woken up, still in their bathrobe, then got attacked. So that's why I'm wearing a super old bathrobe. Bryan did my make up, and this year also included rolling around in dirt, and having leaves thrown at me.

2008: West Seattle

This zombie walk was amazing! My parents even came up for it! Coolest parents ever! We all had a blast. My concept for this one was obvious, I had just graduated from college, then at the graduation ceremony there was a zombie outbreak. I wore the pink wig so the people with me at the walk could find me. I think Bryan and my Mom both did my make up. An interesting side note...on the day I actually graduate from UW, for some reason I didn't get a picture with my parents and I in my cap and gown. So this zombie picture is the only picture I have with me in my cap and gown with them. lol

2009: Downtown Seattle

I have put a lot of thought and planning into this one. And I am giving no hints or ideas. Just have to wait and see. It's October 10th, see you there if you can go!
