I enjoy self-deprecation, but I'm not very good at it.

Sometimes getting a good score in something is a relatively horrible thing, especially if it's not something that commonly happens. It gives you hope that was in reality more fleeting than anchored. It has convinced you it was okay to stand up out of your fox hole directly in line with the fire squad.

No, it won't end well.

For those who still haven't gotten the memo, College kicks my ass. The most I can do now is stretch in the hours before class and try to lessen the bruises. I have steadily worked myself into a state of numbed acceptance and when I feel myself losing grip on things, my only answer is to work harder and push myself further to no immediate avail. This is blind striving, this. But I have no other alternative at this point.

Occasionally luck pistolwhips me and I manage to trump the system for a while and that tickles me a bit. But that's really all I do: I pull lucky breaks. In the end, the House always wins.

National Politics Exam #2 on Monday with two papers due on that day as well. Tuesday is the: meet-with-your-advior day and discuss 2009 Fall scheduling to make sure I can actually graduate with the right GEDs or whatever because apparently I'm lacking a good handful? Thanks for not telling me, college? Then since I got nominated to be a writing tutor for college (YES, MONEY!) that application is another few essays I have to write again with an already extended deadline due on Wednesday and somewhere in the middle of all that I have to seriously cram for my Sociology exam on Thursday and somewhere in the middle of all that I have to call up the police department to order up an interview time so I can write my article for the school newspaper (because unlike contributing writers, staff writers like myself actually can't wimp out, thank you very much) which is due on Friday by midnight, of course and oh, yes, apparently I have to take some experimental ACT/SAT survey exam for two hours on Thursday evening as well as study for another exam on Friday morning.

...because obviously I have 32848409+ hours in every day.

On the bright side of things, I got a plant. It's a Bonsai Ginseng Ficus. His name is Dennis.
