Nobody does it better...
So what's new with me? Hmmmm...
Gabe and I were obsessed with Ninja Warrior for a while there. They were having a full day of marathons of former episodes to celebrate an American making it further than other competitors on the latest one. It was pretty cool and it really draws you in. Have to say the Japanese have the right idea in having a competition like that. I don't know if it would work as well here in the US but I'm sure its a good way of encouraging people to be more active. Gabe and I were joking around about trying to get fit for it.
Swaps are taking over my life right now. I'm still waiting on my Jhonen Vasquez swap to end, waiting on international packages. Then I have a couple other swaps going on right now and then I'm organizing a Zombie swap which has been awesome so far. All the girls I'm working with on this one are awesome. They are so cool and make it fun to talk about different zombie movies, the funny and the scary.
I had an interesting experience over the last few days and then ending today. For some reason that I can't remember I started reading old deadjournal entries and I started around the time tensions were high in anime back in college. Then I watched The Paper on MTV today and I noticed the similarities with how things went down in that "reality" show in relation to how things went down in anime. Its weird to see how it still affects me too. But then again I lost a lot of good friends during that period due to the things that happened. Basically in The Paper, the two main people who wanted editor-in-chief were good friends. Then the girl won over the guy and all the people who were close friends with the guy started punishing the girl who won. They would not listen to her, gave her no respect, and tried to make it seem like she was doing a bad job compared the guy who they believed should have won. I just find it amazing how something like that happens even in people's senior of high school and even college for me. From what I remembered in high school, our senior class pretty much got along by the end of it. Not too many people were still bitter about things but I know we had tensions. But never ever exploded like it did in anime or this show. But that should be ancient history at this point but its still disappointing when you think about it.
So I guess that's all, possibly, for now.
