Haiku me

Wanted to try for something lighter, so went with this meme via a number of people on my flist. Of course, the first one came up with something about my dead grandmother. The next one, about my dead dog. Real cheery. So I kept going and got something that captures the feeling of dislocation from both events.

It seems pretty clear that this is not a meme to take your mind off your troubles. Especially if you've blogged about them recently.

I don't know how I lucked out.

I thought there was a chance I would end up with something about my cross-dressing son, or even Disney World.

Follow-up -- it is kind of fun to just do one for a friend's blog. For instance, chi_editrix's haiku threatens "otherwise you could/end up with a buttload/of ceramic hens."

Pretty funny, since I tried at least a dozen and each was lamer than the one before. Certainly never go that one.
