Gackt headed for the taxi stand outside the airport. He was pissed off that he’d forgotten his phone and couldn’t call his driver. But then, he hadn’t been bothered by incessant calls from Takumi or anyone else connected with work about what he thought he was doing. Then again, he couldn’t call You either; but maybe that was a good thing. He’d just stop in and surprise him. That brought a smile to his face.
He walked out of the airport and shivered, the chill wind forcing him to zip up his leather jacket.
The drive from the airport and through town soon had him smiling. Twilight was just setting in, and the all of the twinkling lights in the trees and decorations in the store windows combined with the cold weather to bring him into the Christmas spirit. This was a really good idea. You would be surprised, and it would be an early gift for both of them.
He rang the bell at You’s apartment. It was hard to tell who was more surprised.
“You, I… Chacha!”
“Gaku!”
