He’d been restless for days. Chacha’s call had affected him more than he cared to admit. He’d thought himself well past the child-like attachments of Christmas. But there was no denying the emotional pull he felt to be home in Tokyo for the holidays, and the source that powered that need. You.
He pulled his phone from his pocket and booked himself on the first flight out he could get. Then he cut his run short, headed home, and straight to the shower.
Takumi was in the kitchen waiting rather impatiently for his first cup of caffeine. “Where are we going?” he asked when Gackt walked into the kitchen carrying the D&G backpack he used as a carry on bag.
“Home,” Gackt replied taking the freshly brewed cup of coffee from Takumi’s hand.
Takumi gazed forlornly at his empty hand. “Tokyo? I thought we were going back on Tuesday?”
Gackt’s driver arrived with the car. Gackt picked up the gray leopard bag. “You are. I’m going today.”
“Why?” Takumi asked, “what can’t wait… two more days?” he finished to an empty room as the front door closed.
