randomness- hurricane Sandy
So, it's been raining for about 24 hours. It's not so bad yet, but Sandy isn't expected to make landfall for another hour or so. The electric company was already out because the transformer in front of the neighbor's house blew out because the trees around it hadn't been trimmed back. Other than that it has been uneventful so far.
Of course, thanks to my brother I couldn't get mom to leave her house yesterday, and I can't get to her today because of the state of emergency. Only essential services are supposed to be out. If we can hold on through tonight we should be ok.
