2-year-old girl dies after falling into toilet in Oita

OITA - A 2-year-old girl died after falling into a waterless vault toilet in her home in Nakatsu, Oita Prefecture, around 9 a.m. Friday. Police said the girl's 43-year-old mother heard her daughter scream for help from the bathroom and found her stuck in a pipe 2 meters below the toilet seat.
The girl, identified as Yuka Nishi, was rescued about 80 minutes later, but was pronounced dead when she was brought up. Police suspect Yuka accidentally fell into the toilet.
