Yeah, I know it's been awhile sine I actually typed something worthwhile. School is going great. I love most of my classes. Trish, the professor I have for my three art classes, is awesome. She and I have so much in common, and she's from my hometown in Virginia! Let's see: so far in Photography I did a still life shoot, using only materials on my bedside table as was the requirement, next week we're in the darkroom; in Computer Graphics, I took a photo I had at home and altered it using Photoshop, and now I am doing a self-portrait useing song lyrics from Linken Park's "Numb" and a bunch of phrases about who I am; and in Digital Photography, other than some "getting to know your camera exercises", I have a self-portrait due tomorrow. The portrit I'm doing in Computer Graphics has really got me doing a lot of self-reflecting. Trish had to read over our papers about ourselves so she could give tips on what to do with the assignment. After she read mine she told me we have a lot in common. That's kind of cool. It's nice to have a mentor again. Jason's mom FINALLY got him a better car, a Chevy Lumina. It was time to get rid of his Mercury. That thing was going to explode or something! Every time I tell someone about that car I have to laugh. Let's see: it had NO exhaust, no muffler or tailpipe, the front passenger window was only clear packing tape to keep out the rain, the antenna was broken off (so no radio), the windshield had a huge crack all the way across it, the right turn signal didn't blink, and the entire passenger side was indented from an accident and completely rusted. That is all the superficial shit, I don't even know about the other stuff! At least we kept his Ohio tags on it so it NEVER had to be inspected. I had a fairly nice Valentine's Day. We couldn't get each other presents, but I did just get a brand new computer, digital camera, and ADOBE PHOTOSHOP! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy about it! I only got those things because of a grant from the government for school worth about two-grand. Jason even surprised me with some flowers. That was a really nice surprise. Our "special time" will be spent this weekend when we got to Columbus for his cousin's wedding. We're getting a hotel. I used my credit card and got a new outfit for the wedding. I've been buying more of the peasant style clothing. Well, I'm tired and I have class tomorrow, so that's all for now.
