Skip and I were just approved for an apartment! We move in May or June, depending on finances.
We already found all of the furniture for the apartment. We still need to decide on some things, but most of it is done now, so that we can budget for it now.
Wow. It hits me every single day how much I love this guy. I'm actually getting my own place with him. We're both going to be on the lease. He even just opened up the bank account we'll be using to pay bills with.
This is really happening. Am I really that grown? I own my car, getting a lease with my boyfriend, and maintaining my full time job. How many of my "friends" have this? How many of them that do are still happy?
But yeah.. Just in case, The floorplan can be found here.
We're going for a very relaxing, minimalist, Japanese theme. The living room walls will be a deep warm red. I'm thinking a bamboo green for the kitchen, and I haven't even begun to think about the 2 bedrooms yet. =]

REALLY comfortable futon in Ransta Dark Grey
Ramvik coffee table in black/brown
There will be recessed lighting in the living room, so I'm holding back on that.

I'm actually thinking a sky blue for the wall color. Something light to make the room seem larger. It'll also go with the dark gray couch and the brown in the wood. =]
Master Bedroom
A new Queen bedframe for Skip in black-brown
2 side tables for either side of the bed
A table lamp for the side tables
Skip's bringing a chest of drawers, which will go at the foot of the bed. I was thinking a purple for this room, but I'll have to talk to Skip about it. His TV will either be going in this room or the living room. Either way, there will be 2 LCD flatscreens in the house.
