I believe there's a bit more on them in the extended version DVD. I haven't seen it despite my Eowyn love since I already thought the theatrical version of the last movie was overlong.

lol. i know its book cannon and sometimes the lines get blurry. its been a few months since i saw them. I like the extended editions but they aren't for casual or even intermediate viewers.
