The 5 of us that watched the Torkelsons will never forget Dorothy Jane’s enormous crush on “Rah-ley Rah-berrts”. Apparently, he’s working again.
Love Soup is a completely British dramedy. Through and through, it’s British to the core. (cept for Riley Roberts who is the only American on the show). Michael Landes and this chick Tamsin Grieg are completely oblivious of each other in London. They go through life fairly unattached, falling into various entanglements…odd little things.
“is there even such a thing as the right person? Or are all relationships, in a sense, destined to be just a pair of odd shoes?”
for some reason, I’m a bit fond of it all.
A tad pissed at NBC, since I’ve been doing the Treasure Hunters thing online all along and now - I can’t finish. I’ve arranged the little artifact doo-dads in the correct formation, but the fireplace won’t open for me to find the cryptex. Ok, yeah, it may sound a bit convoluted to those of you who haven’t gone on the same journey as I, but it’s frustrating just the same.
On the plus side, I’ve downloaded IEbeta7. That’s a nice little number, there.
aside: k…um…did anybody know about this brit-reality tv show? Shipwrecked: Battle of the Islands. The premise? Over a period of 5 months, a bunch of young people (with no jobs, apparently) go to these 2 islands [one person at a time, one week at a time] and visit the 2 groups - then they choose which group they like best - and live with that group for the remainder of the 5 months. At the end of all this, the island with more people on it (i.e. the popular people) wins. Wins what? 70,000 pounds. Or about $150,000. To split …more than ten ways. For 5 months of living like a castaway. In tents. With the wildlife. [including scorpions]
I want a chocolate phone. It’s so freaking hot. It’s like…sexy. Like Donyelle and Benji. Dude - I want them to hook up. For real. They should freakin get married. [I totally saw the way they ended that, at first it was all pro - posed and all that. Then her hands tightened around his arms, their heads got closer, and it looked like they kissed.]
K, I need a cheesy movie buddy. Who else is gonna watch step up, and the 3rd bring it on, with me?
note to self: look up and listen to Human by Dionne Ferris. (I’ve got it cuz it’s on Wild Seed - Wild Flower, just haven’t listened to it in quite some time.)
Benji came to win it tonight. That’s it. He’s totally my fave. Unbelievably, even above Donyelle. She should still get with him though.
Oh hey - did I mention it’s too freakin HOT outside? It’s like the warm-up for hell. Really.
What a beautiful rendition of Georgia on My Mind. Simply beautiful.
And that girl Heidi - she’s got a strong back. But I didn’t think there was any chemistry at all. At ALL.
I love Justin, but, sexy/back? I’m just not feeling it.
And now I’ve gotta freaking rewind this final piece - cuz I didn’t see Travis standing out. Sometimes I think the judges are high.
And personally, I thought Wade Robson’s choreography was horrendous. It was reminiscent of ‘Thriller’ actually. Which is just…not apropos of the concept or the song. Although Benji totally nailed the ‘Zoolander’ thing. Otherwise, the choreography looked a mess.
Anyone else remember the Wade Robson show on MTV? Back when he was hot? (in looks and popularity) what happened?
Nite-nite.
