#1 - When I hear your voice happy, it brightens my day no matter what. When you're sad, all I want to do is cheer you up. Your humor, your trust, your unrelenting expectations of greatness, and overwhelming outpourings of love make my life so much better. I can say anything to you, and you can say anything to me, and I'm glad I have you - with whom I can always, ever and only be me.
#2 - Your life is full but still has room for me in it, and I'm happy to get even a corner. Sometimes I want to fix everything that seems wrong, but I have so much faith in you and your ability I know you'll kick it all apart.
#3 - Hey singing buddy! Sometimes I think only a singer can 'get' another singer. You inspire me because you had the guts to go for it, when I never did. I love your voice, and look forward to hearing the next big thing be YOU. [and then me. :)]
#4 - A ala pi'i a. Now you're there and I'm here, and I think it's awesome that you made things happen that way. I miss you a lot, cuz I feel like only a few people really ever got me and you were one. Someday, I'll go back, and I hope that you'll be there, so I can come by - it's been too long.
#5 - I talk to you almost never, see you even less, and miss you. You were one of the first to welcome me here in this new place. Never hesitant to share your love - completely genuine - and honest even when it was hard to be. I'm so proud of you now, and am glad you found a place that fit you.
#6 - Back in the day when I was young, I was an idiot - just generally speaking. But you're still cool with me now, even if I WAS an idiot. We had some great times, and the music was awesome when we were all in. I'll be glad when you're back.
#7 - Crazy hours, crazy nights, crazy times - your humor, your POV made a lot of days and nights more fun. I still miss having that kind of family - I actually doubt I ever will again - but I'm glad you were a part of it. You gave me insight into things I never would have thought about otherwise, and I'm better for it.
#8 - Quietly observing everything, you always come up with something deep that makes me think - when I'm not even expecting it. I finally 'got' the deal about POG and then they fell apart. More than that were the days of practice, and moments just getting to hang out that I loved. I'm glad you're sticking to your goal, and I think you're gonna be awesome [well - you are now, so...ya know]
#9 - I don't think I really got into movies until after I met you. And what a weird way to meet. But it was the 90s and everything about them was weird and fun and memorable and I pretty much loved it. I just remember random stuff that we used to do, and think we should totally plan to get back together sometime...we're not that far. I remain just a tad bit bohemian - it's a tribute. ;)
#10 - Straight shout out to the one who turned out to be way cooler than I ever thought, forever ago when we met. I don't think either of us really got the other when we were thrown together back then, having so much of our own stuff going on. But now, I appreciate so much of who you are - and what you stand for. I learn from you, and I'm glad we found each other again. I think we're more alike than we ever knew.
