Ok so it's been awhile I guess...
Alyssa's birthday weekend was a blast. I'm so glad she's 21 now and we'll probably see each other a lot more as we have more options on things to do now! YAY!! Wednesday and Saturday nights were the most fun. Saturday night we went to a kareoke bar and it was basically the "Jamie and Alyssa show" cause we sang a lot and ended up getting a request and then we got groupies. I even got hit on which was nice for a change.
Went to Illinois for Thanksgiving...that was fun. Got some pictures taken for my Grandma for Christmas of the grandkids which was nice. Played Texas Hold'em poker with my cousins friends and I did pretty good...coming in second both rounds. I normally suck so that was pretty cool. It was nice to hang out with guys though seeing as I don't really have that many guy friends. It was quite possibly something I needed.
Side note...my watch is broken...guess it's time for a new battery.
So the musical I went to the other weekend was interesting. I enjoyed the company I had more than the show though of course. He actually called me on Thursday beforehand to make arrangements and what not which surprised me cause guys are not that punctual normally. We played phone tag for a little while and when we finally got to talk it was nice. Of course I had a bizillion butterflies in my stomach though cause I got suddenly nervous with him on the phone...which just helped me realize how much I truly hate talking on the phone. He told me he'd call me Sunday to finalize everything so I figured he'd call me at like 2 cause the show was at 3. Well he called at noon so again I was surprised. My mom said he sounded nice cause she could hear him cause I have my phone so loud cause I'm deaf. At the show nothing too exciting happened...we talked beforehand and during intermission. I occasionally would touch his arm while we were joking with each other. During the show our legs touched the whole time (oooh yeah big deal I know, but still...it's probably just cause I have big legs cause I'm fat so oh well) but nonetheless it was nice to sit next to a guy. I seriously need more guy friends. Then we walked out together and walked halfway to our cars and went our separate ways. We still flirt a bit in class...especially yesterday we did. I really adore his smile. It's too bad I don't have more self confidence to suggest hanging out sometime outside of class related activities...but oh well. I'll probably end up sitting with him at a show this Thursday too so that will be nice.
So yesterday we were supposed to present these scenes in my theatre class...my stupid partner was a no show...big shock. So now I don't know what's going on, I'm waiting for Helena (the TA) to email me and let me know if we're going to go tomorrow or not as we HAD to go yesterday. She did say it will not affect my grade though and she'll figure something out. I was a bit peeved about it though. You'd think the girl would have at least emailed us and said "hey I won't be there" but no obviously freshmen are idiots (NOT ALL OF THEM...just some of them).
I got into the DMAT course I applied for so that's exciting too.
Well that's it for now I guess. The semester is almost over. I'm preparing to take the GRE to determine what I'm doing next year. Although I do have a plan kinda set out anyway, now I just need to find a place to live.
