Hayley popped her head in Hinata's doorway. "Guess who successfully finished her stint as a bonafide TA?"

Hinata shot her a grin over the top of her book. "Mmm," she said, faking thoughtfulness. "Would it be a blonde, perhaps? One who recently graduated?"

She was aware that that could apply to more than one of the TA-ships in the past semester but it did and was meant to apply to Hayley in this case.

"Yeah, it kind of is," Hayley said, stepping inside the room. "And I didn't have to do anything bad. It was just fun from start to finish."

"Congratulations," Hinata said warmly, shifting over so that Hayley could sit if she wanted to. "All fun, hm? Did you have a particular class of it you enjoyed more?"

Hayley thought about that as she sat down. "Today, actually," she said. "All we had to do was dance. And that was it. Nothing else at all."

"What sort of dance?" she asked curiously. "To what music?"

"What ever we wanted," Hayley said. "The music was all kinds of things. I couldn't even tell you what half of it was. It was like... freedom. Freedom in a class."

"I like the sound of it," Hinata said thoughtfully. "Dancing being freedom instead of only steps set to music."

"Wow," Hayley said. "That sounds a lot smarter than I meant it. I wish I had thought of it like that."

"I think you did and simply didn't verbalize it," Hinata said mildly, grinning over at her. "B-Because you don't have to say something to have subconsciously realized it."

Hayley snorted a laugh. "You sure always think the best of me," she said. And she looked over at her friend, thoughtfully. "Thank you."

Hinata returned that gaze.

"I have never found th-there to be any good in thinking the worst of people," she said, after a moment.

"You'd make a lousy cop," Hayley said with a sigh. "So what are you reading?"

"On the job is different," Hinata pointed out, smiling still. She dutifully held up her book. "And I am reading meta for Wake. It's a story about a girl with power over d-dreams and the inability to control them."

With criminals and undercover highschoolers thrown into it!

She looked a bit sheepish. "I could be reading something more... complex, but I found myself wanting to relax with a quick read instead."

Hayley chuckled. "That'd be pretty complex enough for me," she said. "What's wrong with quick, any way?"

"Absolutely nothing," she assured her. "Would you perhaps like to read it when I'm done?"
