Life in Seattle . . .

Jan 31, 2009 15:48

is rather monotonous . . .

I get up in the morning. Go to school. Go to work. Go home. Make dinner. Spend time with Ray and study and/or watch TV (depending on the day) for like two hours. Go to bed. Repeat.

I think it's time to start searching for a new job with more flexible hours. I would like more time during the week to study so I'm not forced to spend my entire weekends doing the homework I can't do in the week. But a)I don't want to search for a new job until Ray has a steady job and b)what are the odds I can find a new job in this current economical climate.

Though I think my best odds are on campus. It's really frustrating because I my job set hours are in the afternoon and done by sevenish. That means the classes I take have to be done by 1:30 or 2 at the very latest. You know how hard that is to do when you are taking two classes with quiz sections and one of those also has a lab. Really fucking sucks. I'm probably going to have to drop down to four days a week next quarter so I can fit that all in. Which means I'm going to be dropping down to like 20 hours a week. It might not be too bad but I'm still going to have to take early classes. I hate early classes. I learn better in the afternoon on a full nights sleep. Grrr. My goal is to have a more flexible job by Fall Quarter.

Oh I am also insane and will be getting a dual degree. I should (if everything goes right) graduate 2011 and be set for graduate school.

Plus I've met like no one since living here. Not really counting co-workers of course b/c I've met them but don't really know them. I should join a club or something shit like that. There is a geoscience club at the U i'm thinking of joining. They like to go to Hawaii.

Oh and I applied for an early autumn exploration course that would take me to Hong Kong and Tokyo for three weeks. *Crossing Fingers* on that one.

Oh Look . . . Dr. Who . . . *wanders off*
