I hate money. I hate my lack of money. I hate living paycheck to paycheck. I want to be better about spending my money. It would help if I actually had money to spend. I would help if I could find a better job. It would also help if my car would sell. If I could find a car with better gas milage that would be a big help. Or get a job in ( Read more... )

I can explain that all for you in three words:

The Federal Reserve.

Look at your money, it has the mark. The federal reserve is just a bunch of criminals. It's all our government is about, too. Money. The federal reserve invests a lot to have political control. Bush is just a puppet, stupified by the sheer amount of kickbacks he can receive by, oh, you know... declaring a war which will have no definite end, using the word "terror" in every sentence, and basically scaring us so bad that we buy into inflation and go into a depression. When we go into a depression, the federal reserve gets to yank the little strings they have on all of the banks, who can't pay what they owe, and they end up shutting down with your money in it. Credit cards too. Debt starts getting called in really fast, and the rich are rich again.

It's so fucking sick to watch.

zeitgeistmovie.com. You have to get through the part about religion... it's relevant, but they talk about the economy a lot in part 3. Religion is also being used against us. Again, I think it's sick. That is the core belief of many people... the most profane thing in their lives... and these people are profiting off of it.

So. Wrong.

I'm not perfect by any means, but I know what's going on and I try not to play into it. I don't really drive anymore (occasionally to go camping or if I have to be out of town at a certain time that I couldn't make on bike). I don't buy many things from major stores - I support local and independent business as much as possible (but I do have to grocery shop somewhere). I don't keep much money in the bank - I just draw out cash and leave enough in to pay my bills online.

I'm saving for school, and I don't need some catastrophe to happen to that savings. I trust a lock box in my home more than I trust a bank. I'm at WaMu, and there's a lot of talk of them failing right now, but I'm not closing my account (that's part of how they fail - again, fear), I'm just keeping small quantities in it. I'm not going to hop from bank to bank because they'll all crumble eventually.
