Sweeney Todd fic recs
I have some more catching up to do, but for now, here is the creme de la creme, in my opinion -
athousandwinds - The Bloodsuckers Lovett, Sweeney, PG-13. "What feeds me destroys me". Wonderful portrait of Mrs Lovett - her voice is spot-on - and the dynamic between her and Sweeney.
veils - five days later and she wants another teapot Sweeney/Lovett, R. Mrs. Lovett’s full of four letter words and compassion - too much for someone like him. Pretty and twisted, just like them.
das_mervin - Voyeur Sweeney/Lovett, R. He could still feel them looking at him, their gazes so icy, those seven sentinels casting terrible judgment upon him, standing by Lucy’s side, and heaven help him…she was watching him, too. Even if Mrs Lovett gets her way, it's not going to change Sweeney's mind. Very plausible and completely awesome.
das_mervin - Propriety, and Harey's companion piece Violation, both R. Sweeney-Lovett non-con, from two sides - because they're both disturbed and disturbing.
Harey - Quiet. Lovett, Sweeney, R. No maddening creaking tonight, on the floor above her head. That was new. Nellie Lovett had grown so accustomed to the sound lulling her to sleep at night that its absence was almost disconcerting. AU scenario with exactly the right tone.
justsmashing - Closed, PG. Benjamin Barker comforts his neighbor. BenLucy, BenLovett. Sweeney and Mrs Lovett in happier days - for one of them, anyway. A believably bittersweet moment.
justsmashing - Fellows, PG. They all deserved to die. Cleverly done two-in-one character study.
sandsdream - You're Warm In My Hand. Sweeney/Lovett/razors, PG-13. Mrs Lovett spies on Sweeney. OT3 >:-) - beautifully observed and creepily sensual.
