Personality:
Tamao is a very respectful, sweet, and timid fourteen year old. Living under the Asakura household, she began to show anyone the highest respects. She is very loyal to her friends and the Asakuras, especially the heir, Yoh Asakura. Even if she was shy, she would try her best to gain respect from the enemy for her friends. She would even put up her life to save those she care for. Her loyalty was shown when she tried to stop an attack made against Yoh Asakura.
She tends to be a real sweetheart as well, cooking for almost anyone who is in need of food, whether she is in need to do quick shopping to feed them. Though many do not like her guardian spirits, Ponchi and Conchi, she cares for them as friends and lets face it, babies. She is a bit naive also, being easily tricked by her guardian spirits to attack an imposter, just to have a bit of fun.
Tamao is the definition of timid and shy, needing a notebook of her's to tell other's what she wants to say. Never speaking up for herself, especially to Anna. She looks up to Anna, because she is beautiful and strong. Tamao also tends to put herself down, alot, to make Anna seem like the perfect wife for Yoh, when Tamao was in love with him since they were little. Because of her putting herself down, she usually is seen saddened when around other girls who beautiful.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Tamao has the best cooking skills in her home at the Asakura Household, often taking care of the cooking, cleaning, and securing the household. She is also great with listening to other's problems and try her best to give some sort of advice. Even if it isn't the best answer. She also has the ability to make other's comfortable when she is, unless she gets shy and begins to cover her face or stutter.
Tamao has many weaknesses as well, which mostly consists of her shyness. It usually prevents from her meeting many people. She can get tricked easily as well, if being told her friends were in danger, she would do what anyone wants as long as it kept her friends, especially Yoh, safe. She is also very sensitive, due to thinking she is unattractive, she has a hard time looking at couples and getting compliments. She loves seeing people together, happy, but she usually puts it in her head that she can never have someone as special as Yoh.

I-I-I don't know what to do... I l-l-lost m-my k-k-kokkuri board and my sk-sketch book.
[ Now was when she realized she didn't have anyone around, especially Ponchi and Conchi ]
N-n-now I am all alone.... without Ponchi, Konchi, Lady Anna, and Master Yoh. I-I-I don't know if I can do this... I don't have my notebook. I-I-I-I have to m-m-make a new one... I should learn to talk without it....
[ In Tamao's lap was a small Poochyena, looking relaxed everytime she pet it's gray fur.]
I found a small dog at m-my feet and i-it kept following me everywhere I went... Then there was a l-lady downstairs... s-she d-d-didn't look like L-l-l-lady Kino or K-Keiko.
Poochyena!
I guess that's it's name, because it's all that it he can say. Oh.... Master Yohmei will be very disappointed in me...
[ She looks back at the camera, blushes, and turns away as she speaks quickly ]

Third Person Sample:
Tamao held Poochyena in her arms trying to look around for any sign of familiarity that may come to her, but there was nothing. Thankfully, she had made a new sketchbook, much like her old one, so she could do less talking than usual. How she missed everyone back home, especially Ponchi and Conchi. This place was not Japan, that was for sure. She looked down at Poochyena as she then asked, "You don't know where I am, huh?"
The pokemon looked up at her and once again barked it's name. She frowned a bit and puts Poochyena down, so she can look through her things, as she took out a pink thing. She blinked and began to press random buttons, not noticing Poochyena smelling the air. When it began to growl, fur sticking up in places, she blinked looking from the object and gasped when Poochyena began to run towards the forest.
She put the device in her pocket and began to run after Poochyena, in worry as she called out for it, "Poochyena! Come back!" Looking around she saw a small, strange pokemon. It looked like a bug... She blinked and then said, "L-L-Let's go back." She then looked down at it and said, "I-I-I don't know what to do... You aren't my spirit, so I don't know..." Poochyena then ran at it, but was stopped when it began to attack them. She screamed in fear, as she picked up Poochyena and ran off back to the town, as she said, "Let's run away."
Getting back to the town, Tamao sat on a bench and began to examine Poochyena with worry on her face, as she asked, "Are you okay?" Seeing no sign of any injury, the Poochyena barked, "Poochyena!" She smiled and then softly hugged it, as she said, "You were very brave out there. I wish I can be like you." An idea popped in her head as she smiled and said, "I'll call you, Conchi." Poochyena seemed to be happy with it, as it nodded it's head.
"We should be careful next time, okay?" Poochyena nodded it's head and said, "Poochyena!"
