Woohooo! Yesterday's interview went a lot more smoothly than I had imagined in my head! lol Which is most definitely a good thing. I was super nervous as soon as I woke up but after a little bit, I got my nerves calmed and felt okay up until I got to the interview! :( Good thing I got there a little early because it allowed me some time to get my nerves under control again... interviewing in front of a panel of 3 wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be, which may have had something to do with the fact that the guy who did most of the talking/interviewing was really easy to talk to. Everyone seemed pretty satisfied with my answers to their questions (customer service, "bad" scenarios, emergencies, etc.) and then I had to perform a draw in front of them and even though I knew exactly what I was doing and even though it was only a fake arm (thank God it wasn't on an actual person, even though I've done plenty of those too), my hands still shook a little. Nevertheless, I got my draw done in a timely fashion following all the rules/procedures, blah blah blah blah. lol We discussed work schedules/work times/training/ benefits, etcl. Overall, I think the interview went pretty well and I should be hearing back from them sometime next week with good news and a full-time schedule! :)

When I got home after the interview, I was with packages at my front door! :) Looked like Eric's birthday gifts finally arrived haha I was already on the phone with him when I went to go pick up my mail and check the front door, so after we talked about my interview I got to open gifts! yay!
Eric surprised me with three prints from Kurt Halsey!!!!!! I squealed in delight as I opened the packages because he picked out three of my favorites; one of them being a total surprise because it wasn't available before. As I opened the packages I realized why it took him so long to get to them... because he had the prints shipped to him and then he put the prints into frames for me! <3 How thoughtful of him! :)
Kurt Halsey - Comfort
[reminds us of our stuffie "collection"]
Kurt Halsey - Eskimo Kisses!
[reminds us of *our* kissskies <3]
Kurt Halsey - Always 'Member, Never Forget
[one of my personal favorites - the biggest surprise]
This one didn't come framed, although that's what he had planned, but then he couldn't find a box big enough to pack it in to send it to me! :( *sad face* And he said he didn't want to wait any longer to get these to me so instead, he shipped the print in its original packaging from Kurt... but he told me the frame he picked out though so I'm gonna go look for that frame to put this beauty in :)
He's so incredibly thoughful and sweet and I absolutely LOVE my surprises! He knows how much I love Kurt's work and now I can start my very own collection! <3 After opening my gifts and talking more about Kurt's work, we found more online (his original paintings/drawings and not prints) and we were saying how awesome it would be to actually have a real drawing/painting! lol One of these days.. .until then, I'm happy with the prints directly from him. Eric even found some more of his older works that we both really, really, really, really like, lol, so I have a feeling this collection is just getting started and the longer we're together, the bigger the collection is going to get ;)
Crap, and now that I've written all that out, I'm missing him now. A lot. *sigh*
Long distance needs to NOT be long distance anymore...

Ironically enough, Moo's gift also came the previous day... and she also surprised me with a Kurt Halsey print! lol + another surprise. haha <3
Amanda is incredibly funny and I swear that girl just wants Eric & I to get married already because it's "past due" lol The next series of photos are just what the packaging of her gift looked like and how I saw it as I opened up the huge-ass box...
There was A LOT of bubble wrap that isn't pictured... Notice anything about the LAST name?
The package that was on top!
Kurt's "Fireflies Necklace"
Isn't it ADORABLE??? haha Amanda loved it so much, she almost didn't want to send it to me! lol
Now, what's in this pretty packaging? This thing was rolled around in SO MUCH bubble wrap [which I didn't take a picture of], I swear for a second or two, I didn't think there was anything hidden in the wrap... that's how many layer's of the fun bubbly stuff there was lol But once I got through it all, took it out of the plastic and tore off the wrapping paper, I could see why she (or should I say FedEx) took so much precaution...
Kurt Halsey - Words
She surprised me with a wonderful print that's another favorite on my list and with a simple & yet beautiful frame to accent the print & the coloring. The extra "matting" around the print inside the frame just sets it off beautifully in person and I have to say, I'm completely in love with it. (But then again I'm in love with ALL of this guy's work! haha)

I have to say, again, this has been the best birthday I've had in years. Sure I wasn't surrounded my usual group of close friends & family and Eric wasn't here to celebrate with me, but I have new wonderful friends that I've made here in Vegas which whom I don't know what I do without, I had Ryansky for a few days who made me feel like the most special best friend in the whole world, and I could still feel all the love and comfort of friends & family who couldn't be with me. I couldn't have asked for anything differently or more. I'm so thankful for those who are in my life that right now, I don't even know how to put those feelings into words.

I have a devotional get-together with Jennifer & Victoria in about two hours and then service tonight. I've missed out on the last few weeks so I'm over due to show up tonight haha
I also have a flight booked home for Thursday but if I hear back from QUEST before then saying "Hey, you're hired and you've got training this week" I guess I won't be going home for Spring Break! Sad face for not being able to go home, but HUGE GRIN for having a job, so, I'm keeping my fingers crossed...
