:: Valentine's Day 2009 ::
This Valentine’s definitely wasn’t under ideal circumstances - not only becuase of the distance but because of the issues/problems that we were dealing with for the last week.
He wasn’t supposed to come down and I was supposed to see him. But things were at such a standpoint, walking on eggshells, I was ready to leave-point that he booked a flight last minute (after we searched around for the best deals) and he made flight arrangments for arriving in Vegas on Thursday, February 12th @ 7:30am and leaving Saturday, February 14th @ 1:30pm.
We were lucky that Ryan was around to take him to SFO that early in the morning and was available to pick him up as well that Saturday even though he was dealing with a lot of stuff at home. Seriously, thank God for Ryan.
Anyways, Ryansky and him left for SFO at like 3 in the morning so he could make his 6am flight to arrive in Vegas at 7:30am. Friggin early in the morning, but I didn’t complain. I’m glad he was here that early because that gave me the entire day with him.
Went to go pick him up from the airport which although was difficult to find or get to, still scary, and it was friggin cold outside! gah. Parked in the temporary parking lot cuz some guy yelled at me and said I couldn’t stay parked and wait where I was. what a poophead. So I parked, and walked towards the doors where he was supposed to walk out from. Right before I was about to cross the walkway/street to get to the airport side, he come’s out from the sliding doors. I restrained myself from running towards him to feel his arms around me. I was excited to see him but a part of me was worried about what was to come at the end of his visit and all that non-fun stuffers. Nevertheless, he got to me and wrapped his arms around me and kept me close. And warm. haha And we just stood there for a little while. I got kissses on my forehead and for a second there, everything felt okay.
We walked back to my car, drove back home holding hands, and went up to my room to cuddle in bed and fall asleep. It was a rather short nap because for the most part we both remained awake and just layed in bed holding each other; towards the last hour before we had to leave for class, we caught a little bit of shut eye and then it was time to leave and head to campus for my one class.
When we got to campus, it started to sprinkle a little! The day was definitely glooomyish and grayish but thankfully, it just sprinkled and didn’t rain hard. I had brought some crackers with me for us to munch on and we got a soda when we got to the building and then went up to my chem class. Although it was difficult for the both of us to stay awake during lecture, we managed…. the professor had us break up into small groups for a little project and Eric actually “chipped in” when he remembered and pulled out my little pink turtle from my purse! haha
After class ended, we decided to go home and sleep because we were so tired!!!! Well we went home and cuddled on the bed and definitely slept for a few hours and when we finally woke up, decided to go to Chevy’s for dinner. We had dinner and walked around the mall for a little bit but it was late and the stores were closing; on the way back from dinner though, I got a HUGE craving for something sweet so we ended up stopping by Walmart to pick up some cheesecake and a few other stuffers before coming back home and watching tv/I Love Lucy, enjoying our cheesecake and going to bed early.
That night, I wore a little maroonish Victoria Secret nightie (which Ryan found/bought with me during his previous January visit) and surprised Eric.
Friday, February 13th, 2009
Woke up a little late, had breakfast at home, played around with Pumkin and cookie and then finally decided to go shopping and just go out for a little bit so we went to Galleria Mall and walked around hand in hand. We shopped around at Forever 21 and I came in and out of the dressing room a few times with skirts and tops that he & I liked and he helped me pick out a few things and we walked out of the store with a couple items for myself. We stopped by for some Starbucks and walked the rest of the mall. When we finished there, we still weren’t quite tired yet, so we decided to go walk around Townsquare and take a look at the stores there since it was a nice area and we could also find something to eat as well. Well… when we got there, we didn’t realize how friggin cold it’d be!!! omg. It was soo bad. We were BOTH freezing and it was super duper windy! and gah. Sooooooo coooooooooooooold. But we go to Townsquare and of course went to H&M and shopped around. I got two more pieces of clothing and he even helped me and found me a GREAT deal on a black blazer! After H&M, we wandered around in the cold a little more and found Victoria Secret! yay! We went in to take a look at their new stuff and found a GORGEOUS purple/dark velvet corset lingerie set of which I tried the top on and showed him while in the dressing room and ended up buying. Didn’t know for sure when I was going to have the chance to wear it. but I bought it on a whim and it really is the most gorgeous thing ever.
After Victoria’s Secret, we both were really hungry and went off in a search for a place to eat. We settled on California Pizza Kitchen where we had a great dinner! A delicious appetizer and dinner pizza; a strawberry shake and a margarita for him, and an extremely fulfilling chocolate brownie and ice cream dessert! yums. We had to wait for our table for a little while - like seriously a little while - when I finally went up like a third time to find out what was taking so long and why so many people had passed us, it turned out that someone “stole” our name and had “cut in line”!!!!
So the people apologized and promptly found us a table and seated us. Other than that little hurdle, Eric & I enjoyed a great dinner and a great night. After our dinner, we were so full we had to get up and walk a little bit, so we walked out of CPK and over to Border’s where we found a PINK SCRABBLE! (aka. Punk Scrabble) and a pink Pounce too! lol It was the cutest thing ever! WE walked around in there for a little while, checking out the book and movies and then finally headed back out into the freeeeezing cold to get back to my car. We warmed up a litlte bit in the car before I started the engine and drove home where we went through my day’s purchases and spent the remainder of the night cuddled up not wanting Saturday morning to arrive.

I had already sent my Valentine’s card and gift to him earlier and he had recieved prior to his coming down here. So on this visit, he actually brought Bentley, the sexy monkey!, for me to see again. His v-day gift to me.. in an odd way… was his “visit” down to Vegas (though obviously for a very different reason) but, he did surprise me with a card though. We woke up in the morning, played with the pups a little bit more and then finally had to drive him back to the airport.
