I just read today that a man who was convicted of murder is going to get a life-saving bone marrow transplant PAID FOR WITH TAXPAYERS' MONEY. This guy plead guilty to a horrific crime. The sicko used his car to plow through a family of 5 at a McDonald's resulting in the death of a 2 year old girl, as well injuries on the other 4 family members. And you know what is REALLY sick about this ? According to reports the murderer was seen laughing at the scene of the crime, LAUGHING ?? I don't get it... what is so funny? Now the guy is in prison and is getting a $300,000 dollar bone-marrow transplant paid for by the state aka OUR TAX MONEY. Maybe that's why he was laughing. Meanwhile, the little girl's family is still trying to pay off their own $70,000 medical bills ON THEIR OWN. There is a very big loophole in the system, and it does not sit right with me if the life of a murderer is saved because he committed a crime. If he hadn't killed that girl and plead guilty he would not get the surgery.
So, what I want to know is this: Where is the justice in the system?
Isn't there someone in charge with some brains to say
"Hey, maybe there's something wrong with this situation.
Maybe we shouldn't save the life of this guy whose going to spend his life in prison anyways.
Maybe this guy doesn't deserve to have his life saved."
This is a sad sad situation. Not only is it sad for the family of the little girl, but it is just another example of how people who are sadistic, F***ed up twats are taken care of by the system, while people who do need help are simply ignored. I believe there is something very wrong with a country that will pay thousands of dollars to save the life of a child killer while the victims have to pay their own medical bills. The law system lacks heart and good judgment. I think we need some old medieval dungeons with chains and rats and piss on the floor. At least for scum like this man. If it were my decision I would let him rot away of his leukemia for what he did, and I definitely wouldn't PAY for his surgery. If he needs surgery let him pay for his own surgery, and if he can't do it . . . well then he shouldn't be too worried about having to serve a life sentence now, should he ?
