In his over-dramatic mind, it was storming outside. With every movement he made, the lightning and thunder shook the dorms. With every shaky breath and trembling tear, the rain stained the windows harder and harder.
But none of that was happening. The sky was clean and clear; Orion watched over the apartment. The wind was quiet and gentle - a stray branch hitting the window every now and then. A perfect night for a fallen angel to return to hell. Or to fall deeper to hell - whichever judgment was passed.
He had no final words, no note. He always thought that the people who wrote their final thoughts just put themselves through more pain. And if it helped his boys to think that it was all an accident - let them think that way.
He gave the belt a sharp tug - it was sure to kill him. He gave a deep breath and placed his head through the makeshift noose.
1 - He grabbed onto the loose end.
2 - He breathed in and held it in.
3 -
“Hyung!” Before the belt could find the last hole and suffocate him to death, a body yanked him down. The belt - still attached to the bar of the closet - gave way and the closet gave way. The mysterious body covered his own as the wooden bar and piles of clothes.
When everything calmed down, he looked at the ‘savior.’ “Kibum…shouldn’t you be asleep?”
Kibum didn’t know what to do. To cry for his hyung, to scream at him, to hit him for even having these thoughts in the first place, or to just hold him until there wasn’t as much noise in his head for him to think.
Key rubbed the sleep from his eyes and opened the door. “Kibum-hyung…”
“You.” Was all he said and then stepped aside to show a solemn Leeteuk.
With that one word, Key understood everything. He took Leeteuk in by the wrist. “Kibum, you go back home. Tell the others that I wanted to talk to Leeteuk or something.” Key instructed in English. When Kibum refused to move, Key waved him off. “Kim Kibum, go.”
With a last look to his leader, Kibum reluctantly returned to the dorms.
Key closed the door and looked at Leeteuk. “We’ll talk tomorrow. You need a good night’s sleep before you open up. Trust me.” Key once again took hold of Leeteuk’s wrist and walked him to an extra room Shinee had.
