Interested in playing a sweet zombie survival horror game?
The Virus, with unknown origins, which we call the Necroticanimus Virus,
lies dormant in its' victims brains until the moment of death. It acts
as a re-animator, causing the dead to rise as zombies, hungering for
living flesh. Undead abominations. As far as we can tell, everyone in
the world is already infected...
Sometimes... the Virus takes effect and activates before death! Rare
cases exist where living people display amazing and grotesque abilities
beyond human and zombie capability. They have been dubbed "Ghouls" by
the media...
But that is a rare case, which even less is known about than the actual
undead themselves. The only thing we do know is that you don't want to
meet a ghoul face to face and be unprepared to fight!
... So, as some of you may know by now, I have been working on modern
day zombie apocalypse based survival horror LARP for some time now.
Well, the Necroticanimus Virus's initial rulebook is done and play testing
has been completed. If anyone is interested in playing let me know.
We don't have a web page set up yet, but will be working on it in the future,
so for the time being I will email a set of the initial rules to anyone who inquires
(Necroticanimus@yahoo.com).
This Larp game is being designed as a book that will eventually be
carried and sold in major bookstores everywhere, so this initial
rulebook is only maybe 25% of what the final content will contain. The
game will be able to be run by anyone who has a copy, and has a few
friends to play with them, much like any roleplaying game that is out
there nowadays.
The rules are quite simple, to appeal to a large audience, and game play
is oriented a lot on combat and PVP, with role play taking a slightly
further back seat, and thus character death is a lot more prominent,
which is awesome because when your character dies you immediately take
on a zombie character until that second character is finally put down.
Combat is heavy with simple boffer weapons (Google that if you don't
know what they are), and modded and painted nerf guns.
Game sessions can involve survivor style games (40 people playing, each
on a team of 4; 36 zombies versus 4 survivors, each team gets a turn),
heavy fire-arms (Think lazer tag or paintball style) game play, mission
objective style games or something else such as a campaign for either
human or zombie characters.
Regardless, if you've ever seen it in a zombie movie or video game, or
read it in a zombie novel (And lots of other things you've never thought
of) it can happen here. Shoot me an email if you live in the South East
Michigan area and are interested in knowing planned game sessions or
just want to check out a copy of the rules...
