Taemin looked to the older man, watching him, studying him while he continued practicing his high notes, trying to be better than before. Their comeback was coming, and all of them wanted to be perfect. All of them wanted to be better than before and impress their fans, showing they were more than a couple of pretty faces. Taemin wanted to show he was capable of more. He was tired of people saying he was only good for dancing and that he was a Jonghyun-wannabe and was trying to steal the spot from the lead vocal. It wasn't true at all but he could handle it. What he just couldn't handle were people saying he wasn't that good. He was good! He had to be good or else he wouldn't even debut in the first place. But then again, why did those people even bothered talking about him? If they didn't liked him, why couldn't they ignore him? "Idiots..:" He whispered and he noticed the older man stop his practice and look straight to him. "Am I an idiot?"
The magnae looked to him and realized his words could be misunderstood. "No no hyung! I was just thinking about something else." He explained and the older man just nodded and walked towards him. Both stood in silence, looking to each other for a while, but then Taemin saw that shining smile. That smile that made him blush from head to toe and he couldn't help it. He just looked away and didn't said a word, but then he felt so shy he didn't know why. He was used to be next to the older one, so why was he being shy all of a sudden? "Listen Hyung...do you want to go out for dinner? I'm really hungry." He said, avoiding the incredibly strong blush on his face and giving a small smile in return. "Sure. I was thinking about it too." He got up and the younger man followed him. "So, what do you want to eat?" He asked and Taemin started thinking. "Hm...meat! It's been a while since I ate it." Jonghyun just nodded and both left the building together.
As soon they stepped outside, they could feel the hot night weather hitting their faces. Taemin loved the summer. He could wear more comfortable clothes and it was so much better than wear those layers of clothing. And it was night time, meaning their crazy fans wouldn't be there after them, so they didn't need to cover their faces at all. "So Min, how is your love life?" Jonghyun asked with a small smile and Taemin just looked at him, and didn't know how to answer. "Not going. And yours? Don't you have a girlfriend to go to?" He saw the older man smile, and almost laugh. "What girlfriend? Min, you should know that it's all a stupid thing both companies created to make her famous. Now every single company wants her to responser something." Taemin just nodded but couldn't hide the happy smile. He knew it was all a fake, but at the same time he was afraid it wasn't. But now that Jonghyun cleared things up for him, he couldn't hide the happiness inside him.
Both arrived to the restaurant, a place when they would go more than once. They seat on a table at a corner, next to a window and waited for the waiter. "Why do you think fans pair us up with anyone?" Taemin asked with his arms crossed and looking to Jonghyun. He was afraid his eyes would give him away, but then again, Jonghyun was a very dense man who couldn't see a thing. "I mean, as soon they see us next to a girl they say we're dating and call her the worst names ever." The older man just nodded and didn't answered the younger man at first. He knew Taemin was right, he was beyond right, but what could he do? He knew fans and netzines wouldn't change, no matter how they asked them to take things lightly, they wouldn't.
The lead vocal made their order and the two of them continued talking, Taemin enjoying their alone time more than anything. He couldn't believe he was being lucky enough to be with Jonghyun, with no interruptions from their manager or cordis. It was heaven and the slower time went, the happier Taemin was. "Taemin!" Both heard and looked to the restaurant door. There they saw a very familiar face walking towards him. Both waved back and saw the tall man walk to their direction. The tall man was so focused on Taemin that he didn't even noticed Jonghyun, at least not until he heard his voice. Both exchanged a couple of looks and smiled to each other like they would always do when they were greeting. "Junho-hyung...what are you doing here?" The magnae asked with a smile and he didn't even noticed the tall man gain a small color on his cheeks. Only Jonghyun noticed and couldn't help but smirk at it.
"Nichkhun came to see Victoria...as always. So I took the chance and came to see you..." Junho made a pause and then looked to Jonghyun. "See both of you!" He said before his words could be misunderstood and Taemin just nodded. The three of them stood in a very awkward silence. All Taemin could do was look to Jonghyun, and he was doing it in a way that even from space was noticeable. But he couldn't stop it. It was stronger than him, but what he didn't noticed was that Junho was looking at in with the same intensity but at the same his eyes were showing how hurt he was. It wasn't the first time he was looking like that as he started to Taemin. Everyone from 2PM and SHINee knew why he was looking like that. Everyone but Taemin. Jonghyun started biting his lower lip but remained in silence. "So...I'm going. I've to go...you know, practice."
Junho said and the younger just nodded and continued looking to his fellow band mate. Junho brushed his hair in frustration and looked to Jonghyun one last time, his eyes showing how hurt he was. When he left, Jonghyun looked to the magnae. "You're so cold to him." He said, trying his best to sound a little amused. "No I'm not! We talk everyday!" Taemin said defending himself but Jonghyun raised a brow. "You talk to me everyday and yet, you treat us diferently." The red head started biting his lower lip. That's because I love you, not him! He thought to himself but didn't said it. Instead he just started playing with his fingers and gave a small smile to the older man.
"Hyung...can I ask you something?" He didn't even waited for the older to respond. "Would you hate me if I loved...a guy?" He asked, his voice cracking. He was expecting Jonghyun to over react, like he always did, but instead the only thing he saw was the lead vocal give the sweetest smile in the world and reach for his hand. he didn't know what to expect from it, but at the same time, he was relieved Jonghyun wasn't having a freak out. "There's nothing wrong with it...love is love!" He made a pause and looked to Taemin's scared eyes. "And besides, who would I be if I pointed the finger to you?" Jonghyun asked and Taemin raised a brow not understanding what he meant. He just looked to the older and he continued seeing that smile, becoming more bright that before. "What do you mean?"
He asked and Jonghyun looked down and then to him. "there's someone I really love...someone I love more than anything...and he's a guy." The magnae's heart started beating really fast and he couldn't even think straight when he heard those words. There was a chance that person, that the guy was him. After all Jonghyun treated him in a special way, in a way he was never treated before. If Minho didn't loved him too, he would have Jonghyun right? "It's...Kibum-hyung?" The read head asked a little afraid of the answer but Jonghyun just smiled to him. "No." He said. "Yesung-Hyung?" After all, he and Yesung had a very intense relationship. Everyone thought that before Jonghyun debuted and before Siwon 'proclaimed' his love to the older man, the two of them had a something, but no one knew the truth, only the two. "No...." Now Taemin was curious the way Jonghyun said no. He continued looking to the older man and Jonghyun almost laughed.
"You want to know what me and Hyung had don't you?" He asked and Taemin nodded eagerly and the lead vocal couldn't help but smile a little, his checks flush a little. "Promise you won't tell anyone. No one knows! No one!" Now Taemin felt important. Jonghyun was trusting him with something no one else knew. He just continued in absolute silence and continued listening. "I was completely in love with him before SHINee debuted. He was my shoulder to cry on, he was the one who comforted me...the one that made me feel good when I needed." Taemin could see his cheeks flush a little. "I've got to say...Hyung is pretty good in the sex department." He made a pause and looked to the younger one. "But I always knew he didn't loved me as I loved him....on his mind it was always Siwon. I was a little hurt, but then I felt in love again...and this love is so strong that I know I'll have the person I want next to me until we both go old and stop being singers."
Taemin started biting his lower lip, his breathing becoming heavy and slow. He wanted to be that guy. He wanted to be the man Jonghyun loved beyond anything and was ready to spend his live with. He felt the older man grab his hand a little tighter and smiled at the gesture. "Is he older or younger?" He asked and Jonghyun smiled. "Younger. And he's the cutest thing in the world." Taemin's heart started beating faster than before. It was him! It HAD to be him. He felt his cell ringing and looked to screen. It was a text from Junho. Why is he sending me texts? He was here 4minutes before. He opened it and a gave a surprised look. "What happened?" He heard the lead vocal ask but he just smiled, putting his cell away. "nothing. It was a stupid text."
