Well finally moved into the new house a couple days ago. The last few days have been hell with extra hours of work, school, and not knowing where any of my stuff is. Then my I-pod died and I had no computer to charge it with. Needless to say, I wasn't a happy bunny.
In a new segment (xD) I've decided to create madNews! Here, I'll write little tidbits from my wonderful job! (I'm not being sarcastic either! I really love my job!) For those who for some reason don't know... or don't care, I'm a Pastry Chef and currently employed at this adorable family owned bakery. And without further ado, madNews

- A large cake of ours was sold at an auction for $260!!! Actual price of the cake: $38.50
- We recently got a REALLY bad review at a popular website and I would like to correct the mistakes. Here's the review and my comments are bolded:
Like most of us, I checked *website* and selected this place based on its high rating. I was in search of a birthday cake. When I arrived the tiny bakery had neither large cakes nor cupcakes for sale (you have to pre-order them) ~We always have 3 flavors of cupcakes available unless we sell out. We do make designer cupcakes, but those are pre-order~ but they had a 4 inch round bundt cake. When I asked if they could decorate it with any sort of frosting the server said "No" even though I could see them decorating cakes in the open bakery. ~That was probably me decorating. It could be because I was decorating cakes for people who did their research and ordered a head of time. Just guessing though...~ Since I was short on time, I selected a small cake and asked if they could at least write Happy Birthday, something even a grocery store would do, again the server said No. ~We only have bundt cakes. Have you tried writing on one of those?! Plus we makes strips of icing. Not sure if you're aware of this, but we're not a grocery store.~ As an alternative she recommended I purchase a regular paper bow which they had on sale. The short of the story is that you should avoid this bakery; there are many more excellent bakeries in town that would be more than happy to be of service. For a bakery, not to write Happy Birthday on cake, says a lot about their lack of service, especially when they are frosting cakes. ~Lack of service?! Really? I get NOTHING but compliments on our service! We're KNOWN for being a different sort of bakery and unfortunately we can't do the stereotypical cake thing of writing on it!~
I would like to thank the person who wrote the review after that one and setting things straight. In fact, I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to post this... but ah well.
Mint Dust
I'm still working on a new batch of icons for
mint_dust. I've completly fallen behind but I promise there will be more stuff as soon as I have the time. So far I've finished 19 icons, mostly WWE related. I want to have up to 30 icons and maybe a couple of banners before I post anything. I'm even considering entering in some Icontest to force myself to make more icons.
Well that's it for today so,
Toodles!
