General status update and music squee-age
Well, I'm definitely still alive here, so no worries on that front. :D Wasted the majority of my weekend doing not-school stuff, which unfortunately was three parts TV, one part fanfic-writing, and one part fanfic-reading.
The remaining drabble request fics are turning out pretty well so far. I'm working on the next chapter of SR (albeit rather slowly); the same applies to WCB, YWW, and that one Seeker oneshot which went rabid on me from the Bunny Farm. (graycalls, you won't be getting the fic requests to beta for obvious reasons, but I hope you'll be open for everything else.) Been stalling slightly for the scifibigbang fic, but I have a good enough idea of what I want to happen that it shouldn't be too big a problem.
Meanwhile, on the music front . . . guh. Just guh. Chris Daughtry performed his version of Lady Gaga's Poker Face as found here, and I literally found myself melting lower in my seat once he hit the chorus. And he's doing it live, plus playing the guitar at the same time.
Now Blaster's come out of nowhere to demand Poker Face!songfic. *sigh* I'll see what I can do, so please cooperate until then, 'kay? Good.
And oh Primus, there's a live version of No Surprise. And a live version of What About Now and kids are singing along and it's just adorable and awesome and I'm totally in lust with his voice right now.
I'm going to have to stop listening tonight before I explode from sheer fangirlism joy. I know it'll wear off eventually, but . . . rather not have my brain die on me right before I have to go to a writing workshop.
