(no subject)
It's been kindof a long time... But that's ok, because this is REALLY FREAKING EXCITING. I mean, not so much really, but when I think about it more than just the surface of it, it's like, WOAH.
So anyways, Calculus mega sucks... so my major changed a long time ago... Only problem was I still had to have a C in Calc to continue (so I thought...) Turns out I only needed a D. After the exam, I was almost POSITIVE I would have a D in the class (I calculated my grade and everything with the exam and stuff...) and I could just retake it later to swap out the grade and raise my GPA. So, I look online on the 16th when grades were supposed to be posted... they weren't there so I checked the calendar again and the date changed to the 18th. So 12 minutes ago, I checked back on the grades page and guess what?? I got a C in Calc!! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO NEVER AGAIN!!! :0) I passed with a decent grade that doesn't pull my GPA down too too much, AND I don't have to take Cal 2!!! Weeeeeee
So then I look at my Computer Science grade. BIG surprise there, kindof... I thought I was stuck with a B because of my previous test grades but it turns out I got an A. Maybe my math was just really screwed up around finals and I couldn't calculate my averages properly?
Yeah, then in History I got an A, which I was kindof expecting. University Seminar was an A... what else? And then College Writing was a B. WHAT A STUPID CLASS THAT WASSSSSSS. I DO NOT feel at all prepared for any other English classes. We wrote a total of 11 paragraphs ALL semester... one of which was the final exam?? Totally ridiculous.
So yeah, what's so amazing is that I actually passed my first semester of college. Not that I had doubts about my abilities or anything, just like, WOAH. I remember being excited about starting the 5th grade, top of the food chain type of stuff... This is just CRAZY compared to that!
In other news, Meryl and I have been watching Veronica Mars pretty religiously since I've been back. She just had surgery and can't do much else and we missed most of season 2 and what's already aired of season 3. Good thing she got me seasons 1 and 2 on DVD :0) Talk about a RIVETING season finale for season 2! GEEEEEEEEZ. So yeah, everything is going well, for the most part.
Now I'm off to sleep and have good dreams of my expectations for next semester. I'm aiming for an A in Bowling at least :0)
