dragon-assisted mobility
I now have a dragon to help me get around! It's carved wood and takes the overall form of a cane. And by magic, I've had it all along.
See, elsmi has a superpower: I tell him my problem, and it turns out to have already been solved. Normally this happens with the computer; the moment he looks over my shoulder the problem evaporates and the computer looks sheepish.
But yesterday it went like this: "I think I need to get a cane. Then I could get up by myself despite the fatigue, and -- wait, I have one, don't I? Downstairs!"
I'd gotten it a few years ago to help with con-exhaustion, filed it in con-stuff, and forgotten all about it. And now! I have it by me, and don't need to ask for help getting up! And it is tactile and has scales and makes my hands and eyes happy as well as the rest of me.
The only way it could make me happier would be by being a cobra :)
In other news, bidding in tithenai and upstart_crow and my con-or-bust auction is up to $90! Thank you guys so much for bidding and for signal boosting!
I'm feeling inspired by this, and might have something cute to post later. Especially likely if I get more inspired... *grins*
