Well done, America. You've given yourself the best chance you could possibly have. Will things change? Will Obama really make the difference? I suppose that only time will tell. But it feels as though you've made the right decision. It feels as though you've seized an opportunity with both hands and that you have the will to make it work. It feels as though you just might make things so much better than they are. I may gripe about Britain's sovreignty every now and then. I may say that we don't have to cosy up to the USA all of the time. But the truth is, whether I like it or not, when America sets out it's stall, the rest of the world has to consider shopping there. And, my American friends, you've made a loyal customer out of me. Good luck - the rest of the world will be watching.
